Whole Foods in Northern California is now a battery recycling drop-off location. I have been wanting a convenient location to recycle my used batteries, as it is not environmentally sound to toss batteries in the garbage. Batteries are hazardous waste, that release toxic chemicals and they should be deposed of properly.
